Queensland-based ISV, Unify Solutions, has become SAP's first local specialist solutions partner in identity management.
SAP specialist solution sales general manager, Patrick Elliot, said Unify's successful track record in sales, pre-sales and support for Maxware, which SAP acquired in May last year, was the key reason behind the partnership. Maxware's identity management software has been transferred to SAP NetWeaver identity management.
"The partnership will provide expertise and support for SAP, customers and prospects to deploy SAP identity management solutions," he said. "Unify has a strong record in identity management and the expertise to add a lot of value in a short space of time."
Unify managing director, Mark Goodall, said the company will help SAP's partners implement the SAP NetWeaver Identity Management solutions. SAP has about 34 channel partners and 35 service partners.
"In an environment of IT shortages, the quickest way to skill up in a region is to find sources of those skills, and we have some very good skills in that area," Goodall said. "We also have a development group and where SAP needs to build connectors for identity management products to other applications, we can hopefully invest our skills and help with that as well.
"Over the years I think SAP will be keen for partners to develop skills in these products because it's a very big customer market for them."
