Tasmanian-based integrator, Tops, has introduced an information technology support package targeting the SMB market.
Aimed at business with up to six computers, the service is available for $3.99 a day per computer. The package includes dedicated helpdesk, rapid response and repairs, management of core business infrastructure and onsite monthly maintenance meetings and reports.
Chief executive, Noel Brown, said its market research had identified a need for this type of service among SMBs.
"We provide support services for a range of large government and corporate enterprises but what we have identified through market research is that SMBs have been missing out," he said. "The SMB market understands the benefits technology can bring to the business, but because they are not totally up to speed or don't understand it, they don't know where to go and they have a feeling it is too expensive."
Brown said Tops could also provide hardware and software systems for clients.
"We can also completely finance the deal with no money upfront on an operating lease," he said. "For an affordable fee we can maintain all of the service quality of the hardware and software, and make sure their business is fully maintained and runs smoothly."
Brown said it was also in the process of launching more services for its clients around audiovisual and video conferencing technology.
"We see unified communications and managed services as two major growth areas that we're targeting heavily in 2008," he said. Over the next two years Brown was looking appoint another 20 engineers to its team of 50 staff.
