BullGuard launches channel incentives

Resellers can receive 25 per cent renewal revenue while distributors can obtain 15 per cent

Security vendor, BullGuard, has launched its Revenue Share program for resellers.

For each year a customer renews their subscription to a BullGuard product, resellers receive 25 per cent renewal revenue, while distributors obtain 15 per cent.

"When the customer renews their BullGuard product for the next year, we put 40 per cent of that revenue back to the channel," sales manager, Bronwyn Gascoigne, said. "We will keep doing it for the life of that customer as long as they keep buying BullGuard.

"All of our products are tracked by serial numbers on the boxes and every time that customer renews their BullGuard product, we can trace that back to the initial purchase."

Gascoigne said the vendor was still growing its reseller channel and hoped to attract more SMB resellers and retailers. Partners that join up to BullGuard will also get access to its revenue tracking portal and online marketing tools.

"Consumers are so savvy with the Internet, they just purchase online, which is what annoys resellers because they do the hard work with the customer, get them onto the product and show them how to use it," she said. "This provides them with good ongoing return."

The vendor recently released its Internet Security 8.0 version, which features a 5GB online backup drive and improved spam filter and firewall engines as well as remote access for BullGuard support.

In August, BullGuard overhauled its distribution line-up, ending its relationship with Altech and appointing Ingram Micro and Saratoga Distribution.
