STM

The Profile bag from STM is not like your typical briefcase or notebook case. This vertically, structured case has a top-loading laptop section to fit laptops with screens up to 16.5 inches. It features a rear compartment for portfolios, internal CD and document pockets, in-built mesh pouches for cables and adaptors and removable, adjustable shoulder strap. It has a contoured rubber handle and is made from water resistant 300D micro rip stop polyester. The bags are distributed in Australia by Tech Pacific and STM (Standard Technical Merchandise).

At a travel weight of 2.5kg and offering 2.5 hours of battery life, the ThinkPad R40e notebook is ideal for the budget-conscious small business, home offices and students. It comes equipped with an Intel Celeron 1.8GHz processor, 14-inch XGA TFT screen, two USB 1.1 ports, fixed optical drive and IBM UltraConnect Antennae. There are wireless upgrade options on selected models. Toshiba

Designed with the SME, SOHO or student in mind, Toshiba’s A10 series of desktop replacement notebooks offer customers a range of options. The Satellite A10-00KSL features the Mobile Intel Celeron processor 2GHz with 256MB on-die L2 cache, a 14.1-inch TFT Active Matrix colour display with XGA resolution, 30GB hard drive, DVD/CD-RW combo drive, and Microsoft Windows XP Pro. The Satellite A100-01M7L offers the same features but runs on the Mobile Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz. The Satellite A10-01SLL features the Mobile Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz with 256MB on-die L2 cache, a 15-inch TFT display, 60GB hard drive, DVD/CD-RW drive, and Windows XP Pro. The Toshiba Satellite A10 series is distributed in Australia by Tech Pacific, Ingram Micro, Dicker Data and BMS Technology.

Acer

The Acer Aspire 1703SC has the world’s first full-sized integrated 17-inch LCD screen with 1280 x 1024 pixel resolution. The Aspire 1703SC desknote features an Intel Pentium 4 2.66GHz processor, 256MB DDR-SDRAM, an 80GB hard drive and DVD/CD-RW combo drive. Additional features include built-in 10/100 LAN connectivity, an internal 56Kbps international modem, two stereo speakers, one sub-woofer and Audio DJ with power-off MP3 functionality. The ThinkPad G40 Series is a true desktop replacement for users that require a fully-featured machine with occasional mobility. Highlander

The Highlander 86 uses the Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz technology and weighs in at 3.1kg. It has an extended nine-cell battery life with integrated wireless LAN/infra-red capabilities so users have the freedom to use the PC away from the home or the office without having to rely on external hard ware. It features a 40GB hard disk, 512MB of DDR RAM, a 15-inch XGA TFT screen with XGA resolution and a DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive. It comes with the NVidia GeForce4 Go mobile graphics card, 64MB of DDR VRAM (video RAM) and Microsoft XP Home software.
