Evolve IT has become the first integrator to join the D-link Premier Partner Program in Victoria and WA.
Evolve IT managing director, Nick Moran, said the partnership would give it direct access to the vendor and a dedicated account manager.
"D-link approached us and saw that we were a pretty good fit with our structure and capabilities," he said. "It shows our clients that we have got excellent capabilities from a technical point of view, but we also work very closely to put together and tailor solutions for the SMB market."
Moran said the 20-200 seats was the company's sweet spot. The reseller has about six certified D-link engineers.
"We are a lot more strategic with our partnerships as opposed to other partner programs - the vendor will give you a list of 10 things they can give you for being a part of it, but whether or not they can help you in any such way is another thing," Moran said.
D-Link's Premier Partner Program was launched earlier this year to provide more support for VARs in the SMB market. Through this partnership, Moran hopes to further develop its managed services business.
"The managed services game is something we have been playing in for a while now and we'll be able to complement those services with D-Link's networking products," he said. "We have grown tremendously over the last 12-18 months, and winning some recent awards, such as Microsoft's Small Business Specialist Partner, has really helped us."
