Projector sales continue to climb, and Melbourne-based JED Microprocessors has developed a system to control most of the projectors on the market for a fraction of the cost of similar systems from international vendors. The JED T460 projector controllers offer a convenient way to manage video and data projectors from a suitable point on a lectern, bench or wall near a speaker's location in a hall or theatre. The unit measures 110mm by 70mm and can be mounted on a blank powerpoint base or grid plate. A backlit LCD screen shows the system status. The unit is wired back to the LCD projector via an RS232 data cable and is programmed with control codes for around 170 projectors currently on the market, including Sony, NEC, Espon and Hitachi. The device is ideal for education markets and can be upgraded.
The T460 carries a recommended retail price of $540 and is available immediately from JED Microprocessors.
