New Thin Clients Offer Users Enhanced Graphics Capabilities, Dual Monitor Support and Added Expansion Options

Sydney, Australia – October 24, 2007 - Wyse Technology, the global leader in thin computing, today announced the availability of its new Wyse G class family. The new Wyse G class delivers the performance and flexibility users need to run complex applications in graphics- and data-intensive environments while taking advantage of the benefits associated with thin computing. These benefits include lower cost, improved security and better manageability.

What makes the Wyse G class unique is its flexibility and expansion capabilities.

Powered by a 1.2GHz Via C7 processor, the Wyse G class family comes with standard dual-display support and the option to support up to six displays as users’ requirements increase. Multiple displays are controlled and enhanced through the Wyse TCX Multi-Display software. This includes the optional TCX multimedia software that enables users to experience rich multimedia in Citrix Presentation Server™, Citrix XenDesktop™, Microsoft® Terminal Services or VMware’s virtual desktop environments. Users can also expand to quad or six display using display adapters from vendors such as Matrox, ATI and others.

“Wyse has always been a leader and innovator in thin computing and the G class continues this tradition,” said Mick Hollison, Vice President, Product Management, Desktop Delivery Group for Citrix. “The Wyse G class brings a new a level of sophistication to thin computing because it allows users to easily multitask while running multimedia applications that leverage our Citrix Application Delivery Infrastructure. The Wyse G will be an ideal platform for our customers to plug and play with our newly announced Citrix XenDesktop virtual desktop solution.”

The new family of products offer future-proofing options such as a DVD/CD-ROM bay, hard disk drive bay, floppy disk drive bay and a PCI expansion slot. These capabilities make the Wyse G class an ideal solution for the document management, brokerage and financial services, medical care, educational training and research industries.

Currently, the Wyse G class consists of the G90 thin client and the G00 zero client models. The Wyse G90 model comes with Microsoft® Windows® XP Embedded, giving users access to the most advanced web browser and media player capabilities available in a thin computer. The Wyse G00 model works with Wyse WSM provisioning software, delivering a no-management client with the richest client capabilities ever offered by Wyse.

Other key features on the Wyse G class include:

• Built-in dual-display support enabling users to attach two displays simultaneously, without the need for additional adapters. This makes it ideal for data-intensive applications.

• Support for more than two displays when optional supported additional display adapters are used.

• Expansion options include a CD ROM bay, hard disk drive bay, and a PCI expansion slot. This enables IT departments to configure, deploy, and use G-class thin computers in a wider variety of ways, including situations that would otherwise require a full PC.

• Plug-and-play connectivity — making it easy for users to install and connect right out of the box.

• Enhanced data security and integrity — no data is stored on the thin computer, so data cannot be lost or stolen, and the unit has no value off the network.

• Integrated 10/100 Ethernet and optional wireless LAN connectivity allowing customers to securely connect to high-speed wired and wireless networks.

• Wyse Device Manager — making it easy to manage, update, and even service the device from one central or several remote locations.

“The advantage of the new Wyse G class is that it makes deploying multi-display solutions simple,” said Donn Bullock, Virtual Client Solutions Director from Mainline Information Systems, a premier Wyse channel partner. “We anticipate a high demand for this product because it is tailored and optimised to work in select industries. The Wyse G class also offers a broad array of expansion options which 'future proof' a user's investment, making it an ideal desktop replacement.”

Using Wyse G class thin clients enable all applications to be fully managed in the data centre, making them inherently more secure from viruses and other malicious software attacks. Users also have the option of Wyse TCX Multimedia software. This software enables thin clients to display rich multimedia content, dramatically reducing the “experience gap” between a thin client and a traditionally deployed PC.

“The new Wyse G class makes it easier to multitask and manage information dynamically,” said Ashwin Kulkarni, Senior Director of Product Management for Wyse Technology. “As more businesses deploy multi-display solutions to increase worker productivity, Wyse is leading the industry by offering customers a complete set of options and choices which reduce IT complexity and add to the bottom line.”

The Wyse G class is shipping this quarter. Dual video capability requires an optional DVI-I to dual display cable.
