Victorian components distributor, Australia IT, has scored a deal with Taiwanese gaming case vendor, NZXT.
Australia IT business development manager, David Wilson, said the NZXT range fitted its portfolio well. "We also provide Cooler Master cases but they don't appeal to gamers in terms of stylistic presentation," he said. "We certainly feel NZXT fills a niche that we didn't cater for."
Australia IT has brought in four designs with its first shipment - Hush, Lexa, Zero and Apollo - which feature a steel chassis, two 120mm fans and support for the latest technology including FireWire.
"We tested the water and three of the models sold out within three days," Wilson said. "These cases are very much targeted towards the gamer market and are quite out there with blue LEDs and open sides."
NZXT international sales director, Sally Chang, said it was recommended to Australia IT through another manufacturer. "More and more users were pushing us to provide NZXT in the Australian market, which has got strong potential and we look forward to working closely with Australia IT," she said. "We only look for one distributor in each country. We made a deal at the right time and with the right organisation."
