A liquidator has been appointed in what has become the legal quagmire of the Buzzle collapse.
The Supreme Court of New South Wales has appointed Andrew Wily of Armstrong Wily & Co as provisional liquidator of Buzzle Operations -- the infamous Apple consortium that was placed in receivership by Apple Computer in March last year.
Wily's first task is to investigate potential claims by Buzzle against third parties.
"Apple Computer has already commenced court proceedings against several Buzzle directors and that case is listed for hearing next April," Wily said on the eve of his appointment as liquidator.
Buzzle's high-profile rise and fall was detailed in the documentary Going Public which aired on the ABC in October last year.
"I suspect one of the first jobs I will do, among many, will be to review the ABC documentary," Wily said.
