Citrix Systems has released two new partner certifications around its EdgeSight and WANScaler technologies.
Channel development manager, Dean Vaughan, said Citrix wanted to ensure partners were trained, developed and had a thorough understanding of the technologies.
"The challenge for us is that we are growing so fast with taking new technology to market, we want ensure our partners are trained and grow with us," he said.
The Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) for Citrix EdgeSight 4 and CCA for Citrix WANScaler 4, available from the fourth quarter of this year, are both classroom-based courses and entail exams.
"From a partner perspective, it enables them to differentiate themselves from the competition, because customers are more inclined to buy from a certified engineer," he said. "We are able to assure our customers that when they are buying from a certain partner those engineers are trained to a certain standard."
Vaughan said he was keen to see all of its partners become EdgeSight-certified, but WANScaler would be offered on an exclusive invitation basis. EdgeSight is a management program that monitors a user's environment including application activity.
"WANScaler is a focused technology and we are looking for organisations that have a strong application delivery virtualisation business, networking business and a communications background as well," he said.
"We want to make sure all of partners are EdgeSight trained, because it is a key part of our core product Presentation Server Platinum, which has a lot more products built into it and provides partners a greater return on revenue," he said.
