Altech Computers has added gaming components from peripherals vendor, Flexiglow, to its portfolio.
Altech national marketing manager, Biljana Vojdanoska, said the new deal would expand the distributor's presence in the gaming market. Flexiglow's Cyber Snipa complemented its own gaming brand, NRG.
The distributor will offer the Cyber Snipa range of gaming mice, mouse pads and mats, game pads, keyboard, Web cams, LAN bag and flash memory modules.
"This brand is going to offer more options for our customers," Vojdanoska said. "The products are primarily targeted at the gaming market. We will also present the brand at a lot of our sponsored gaming events."
Altech will offer the new products in bundles with its desktop and PC gaming range. It joins Anyware Computer Accessories in the vendor's distribution stable.
Cyber Snipa director, Gavin Bernstein, said Altech was a strong player in the PC and peripherals area and had a vested interest in the gaming space. Cyber's products are developed locally and sold globally through a network of distributors.
"Altech has a very good network of resellers. They are going to form a very strong part of our distribution network," he said. "We are keeping it at two distributors in Australia. It's hard to have too many in such a niche market."
