Managed services provider, The Cavalry, is opening up four new offices in the next 12 months as it plans to ramp up business.
CEO, Peter Low, said it would set up in Melbourne within the next three months and Brisbane in the next six months. This would be followed by North and West Sydney. The company was also looking for four sales and technical staff.
"Our goal is to double our business every year for the next five years to become the number one IT support company in Australia for SMBs," he said.
The Cavalry focuses on the 10-200 seat market. It recently established a partnership with Brambles owned information management outfit, Recall, to develop a disaster recovery solution for SMBs called Operation Rescue.
Low said his team had undertaken market research and spotted a market opportunity for disaster recovery for SMBs.
"As organisations increase their reliance on technology, you have to start looking at what happens with your data. It's a highly fragmented industry, there is no economy of scale and there is limited robustness in disaster recovery solutions for small to medium business," he claimed. "We are using the national infrastructure and logistics of Recall and certain technologies that provide a disaster recovery solution aimed squarely at SMBs."
The solution also addressed server migration and upgrades, Low said.
