BroNet takes on US memory products

PNY range will be aimed at the corporate sector.

Sydney-based peripherals distributor, BroNet, has become the first local supplier for US memory vendor, PNY Technologies.

BroNet general manager, Ken Barsley, said the company was looking for a point of presence in the Asia-Pacific market.

"PNY is the second largest memory vendor in the US to Kingston. The company has been there for a long time and is well respected in that sector," he said. "In the last two years they have branched into the Asian market and contracted manufacturing out of Taiwan and China.

"They looked at other distributors but because we've got an old school memory background, we fitted in with their memory products."

Barsley said the corporate market was key area for supplying PNY memory modules. He would also consider bundling PNY memory products with other components.

PNY also manufactures graphics accelerator cards for the consumer market and graphics boards for professional users.
