Networking vendor, LevelOne, has added SA-based Evolve and TodayTech to its distributor line-up.
Newly appointed sales and marketing director, John Robinson, said it was adding extra weight to its national distribution activity. Robinson replaced managing director, Ming Leu.
LevelOne has relationships with CompuWholesale, Pioneer Computer and WES Components. The vendor has also expanded on its relationship with Cellnet since it bought HiTech Distribution in December.
TodayTech general manager marketing and sales, George Skaf, said LevelOne gives the distributor a differentiator in the networking arena.
"LevelOne also has a range of IP cameras and is focused on the security market, which we have been working towards," he said. "There is a crossover with our NetComm product range, but that allows our resellers choice."
Skaf said it would bundle the products into a home security monitoring package including wireless routers, IP cameras, storage devices and Microsoft home server.
The distributor is currently drawing up a loyalty partner program.
Evolve vice-president of business development, James Hartsock, said LevelOne was a good match because of its similar business philosophy. Evolve is part of the Jackar Corporation.
"We're always looking for products that add value for our resellers," he said. "Our focus has been to simplify their purchasing process by providing more of the products they need."
Prior to joining LevelOne, Robinson had a short stint at Altech Computers and was the country manager for Anthology Solutions. He was previously AMD's country manager.
