gotalk launches unlimited VoIP calls to mobiles

<p>“From today, gotalk has the only VoIP plan in Australia from which you can make unlimited calls from your PC or VoIP phone to local, national and mobiles,” gotalk CEO Steve Picton said today. “Other telcos, such as Optus Fusion do offer unlimited calls, but to Optus mobiles only, which can be quite confusing as it is almost impossible for a customer to know if the call he or she is making is to another Optus mobile. This is why gotalk has launched the “go VoIP Aussie Pack” to include unlimited calls to all Australian mobiles, without restriction” Mr. Picton said.</p>
<p>According to Mr. Picton, gotalk is also the only VoIP provider to offer included call value in their entry level $4.95 plan – call value can be used for local, national or mobile calls.</p>
<p>“Our Aussie pack includes unlimited calls to local, national and mobiles while our World Pack upgrade option available on both new plans, offers free calling to 20 countries and another 20 countries for 20c untimed calls”.
On August 6, Picton’s rapidly expanding telco gotalk announced plans to challenge Skype’s domination of the Australian and New Zealand VoIP markets by launching Australia’s first Prepaid VoIP service attached to all their CardCall phonecards. CardCall, a fully owned gotalk subsidiary, is the major ($8 million a month) distributor of calling cards in both Australia and New Zealand.
“The new go VoIP Aussie Plans are ‘Phase Two’ in our strategy to win market share not only from Skype – but all VoIP service providers in this market, over coming months” Mr. Picton said.
“Customers can sign up to gotalk VoIP plans by calling our customer service on 1800 468 255 or speaking to an authorized gotalk dealer,” Mr. Picton said.
NOTE (1): Last month gotalk purchased Telstra’s international physical, electronic voucher and online calling cards, “Say G’Day” and “Super Buzz” covering nine language options (English, French Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and Thai) which can be used for local, long distance and mobile calls – including to and from global satellite services, international calls in Australia and calls from most touchtone phones. Full service telco gotalk provides a range of wholesale and retail telecommunication services through its own state of the art exchange switching centre in Sydney's Castlereagh Street which handles over a billion international minutes per year which in turn equates to 20% of all Australian outbound international call traffic.
