Vignette Appoints Regional Vice President Sales - ANZ

<p>AUSTRALIA, Sydney – Thursday 26 July 2007 - Vignette Corporation today announced the appointment of Peter Murphy as Regional Vice President Sales for Australia and New Zealand.</p>
<p>“Peter will be a great asset to Vignette. With almost 30 years experience in the IT&amp;T industry in sales and leadership roles, he will provide leadership and guidance to Vignette’s entire sales force in both Australia and New Zealand,” said Graham Pullen, Vice President and General Manager Asia Pacific, Vignette.</p>
<p>“Peter’s depth of experience in both mentoring sales teams and winning business promises to make a tremendous impact on Vignette’s business in Australia and New Zealand.” he added.</p>
<p>Based in Vignette’s Sydney office, Peter will be responsible for the sales of all Vignette products in Australia and New Zealand, both directly and through selected partnerships. He will work with Vignette’s sales force which includes a team of Sales Specialists and System Engineers in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland as well as selected Systems Integrators and Resellers in Australia and New Zealand.</p>
<p>Peter commenced his career in 1960’s as an Avionics Engineer specializing in Radar and Communications for the Royal NZ Airforce. He then joined the sales force of Rank Xerox in 1977 and sold some of the first computers in New Zealand in the early 80s. For the last 14 years he has worked in Senior Sales Leadership roles for companies like Sterling Software, Platinum Technologies, Computer Associates, and Lucent Technologies, where he was recently the APAC Regional Manager for the Applications and Intelligent Networks Group based in Singapore.</p>
