Harris Technology will now stock Billion routers on its shelves after inking an agreement with distributor, PC Range.
PC Range managing director, Raaj Menon, said the Coles Group subsidiary had experienced a lot customer demand for Billion products. The new reseller agreement would allow the distributor to break into the mainstream market.
"They had customers walking in and specifically asking for Billion products," he said. "It really opens the door for us and we are going to go in there aggressively."
Harris Technology's nine national business centres will have access to Billion's ADSL2+ broadband and specialist BiGuard security VPN routers.
"Harris has stores all over Australia and they do a lot of mail ordering as well, so this deal means a lot to PC Range," Menon said. "I'm sure we will work with Harris on different marketing plans such as catalogue advertising. We have a lot of goals but it is all going to depend on how our relationship goes."
PC range's next move is to tap into retailers such as OfficeWorks, he said.
"That is going to be our next target as we slowly move into the mainstream. We've got a sales force now looking into those markets," Menon said.
