Networking and security distributor, SecureServ, has gained access to the full range of security products from FaceTime Communications.
The US-based vendor provides end-to-end security management around Instant Messaging (IM), Skype and P2P file sharing through its flagship product, FaceTime Enterprise Edition. Its Greynet Enterprise Manager tool also provides security policies management and reporting of IM, P2P and Spyware across the entire enterprise environment.
SecureServ general manager, Vic Whiteley, said it had been aware of FaceTime products for a while and claimed it presented a large opportunity for partners, particularly with the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 (OCS) launch in the next few months.
"It's a major opportunity for us in the instant messaging security arena," he said. "The other issue was the matter of Skype security, which no one else seems to be providing a solution for.
"FaceTime will be a major part of our business and give us a major thrust from a business stand point."
Whiteley highlighted the financial, education, government and enterprise sectors as key target areas. He said the product range would be suitable for resellers dabbling in the instant messaging arena.
SecureServ joins ChannelWorx in the US-based vendor's local distribution line-up.
