Local integrators up for Microsoft global honours

Data#3 and Dimension Data head the list of local finalists vying for a gong at the upcoming Microsoft global partner awards. The ceremony takes place at the software vendor's channel conference in Denver, Colorado this month.

DiData is a finalist for four awards: Advanced Infrastructure Solutions, Active Directory and Identity Management Partner of the Year; Advanced Infrastructure Solutions, Exchange Migration and Deployment Partner of the Year; Information Worker Solutions, Office Systems Desktop Deployment Partner; and Citizenship Partner of the Year.

The integrator's national Microsoft practice manager, Brian Walshe, said it was delighted to have received the nominations. DiData won three awards at the same event last year.

"Dimension Data received more nominations than any other Microsoft partner worldwide. It is a great recognition of our leadership position in delivering innovative solutions to clients using Microsoft technologies," he said.

Data#3 is also in contention for the Advanced Infrastructure Solutions, Exchange Migration and Deployment Partner of the Year award for the third year in a row. It is also hoping to pick up the gong as Licensing Solutions, Software Asset Management Partner of the Year.

"Being nominated as a finalist in multiple categories over consecutive years illustrates that our commitment to expertise, and building customer-centric ICT solutions, is the right one," Data#3 managing director, John Grant, said. "Microsoft is one of our key vendors and we look forward to building on this already strong relationship."

More than 1800 partners are in the running for awards at the Microsoft conference this year.
