IBM has announced its ThinkPad T Series notebook computers. The range includes the first 15-inch screen models (T42p) in the series. The product is also available with a 14-inch screen (T42). The range is powered by Intel Pentium M processors (735 and 755) and includes models with 2MB of L2 cache, as well as the Intel Pentium M 1.5GHz processor with 1MB of L2 cache. Select models of the T42p will also offer ATI Mobility FireGL T2 graphics with OpenGL support, flexview technology (170-degree viewing area), UXGA (1600 x 1200) resolution, 802.11 a/b/g and the entire portfolio of IBM ThinkVantage technologies. The systems also include IBM’s embedded security subsystem, are 3cm thick, weigh less than 2.4kg and have battery performance up to 6.4 hours on select models.
