WatchGuard Technologies has replaced long-serving sales director, Sven Radavics, with new regional director, Scott Robertson.
According to the company, Radavics has moved on from the security appliance vendor to a role at a non-competitive business.
Robertson said his appointment came at a fortuitous time, following the release of the vendor's Fireware 9.0 software and Firebox X Core and Peak security appliances for mid-sized businesses last month.
"This is a great chance to reconnect with the channel," he said. "We have a very loyal channel community and we need to introduce the team and the new products."
WatchGuard is lining up information events in Sydney and Melbourne from next month to introduce partners to the new products.
"We need to educate partners on some new programs that will be introduced through WatchGuard along with the new products like Fireware 9.0," he said. "We'll also be looking to further develop our brand in the marketplace."
Robertson, who was most recently general manager of CRYPTOCard, has 14 years experience in IT. He has held sales and marketing management roles with vendors including Red Hat Asia-Pacific, Microsoft and Visio.
