The IT Fund for Kids is aiming to raise $500,000 this year to support the Starlight Children's Foundation and Giant Steps School.
IT companies have been urged to join in the annual Know IT All dinner challenge, where they can compete against each other to find out who really is the industry's biggest brainiac.
The event is supported by KPMG, Intel, eBay and Dimension Data. For the first time, the challenge will also be brought to Victoria.
Funds raised will go towards the Starlight Online Community, which aims to connect seriously ill children with friends and family, as well as the Giant Steps' Interact Program, that helps autistic children learn and develop everyday skills.
The challenge kicks off in Melbourne on August 16 at the Grand Hyatt (cost per table of 10 - $1500) and Sydney on August 23 at Hilton Hotel (cost per table of 10 - $2250). The registration deadline is July 16. To book a table visit: www.itfundforkids.com.au
