Former Symbol Technologies channel sales manager, Bart Mascorella, has been tapped to head up APC's channel sales for the Pacific region. The role was created to cope with company growth.
"The channel and sales organisation was previously a combined organisation," Mascorella said. "Gordon [Makryllos, APC country general manager] saw the need to split the organisations down so they can focus on their own business."
In the new role, Mascorella will be responsible for the vendor's A/NZ channel sales operation, including driving marketing and educational programs to help expand APC partner business. Former business unit head, Yasser Elgammel, will continue to run the vendor's northern sales teams, while David Templeton will replicate the role across southern regions including Victoria and South Australia.
"APC has such a strong heritage and robust reseller community. I intend to build on that and expand the coverage our partners have with our product sets, extending them into the enterprise arena through training and development," Mascorella said.
The vendor has also appointed Richard Farrell and Natalie Gilbert as channel account managers for NSW and Victoria, respectively. They will support systems integrators and drive business development opportunities and report back to Mascorella.
Prior to his Symbol Technologies role, Mascorella was national channel manager role at Emerson Network Power. He has also held senior sales positions at Cisco Systems and IBM.
