After hours: Red Rock's Jonathan Rubinsztein

Red Rock's Jonathan Rubinsztein

My favourite book or movie...

is Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. He explains that magic moment where ideas, trends and social behaviour cross a threshold, tip and spread like wildfire. It contains some creative insight I really enjoyed and have tried to put into practice.

If I could go anywhere...

it would be the Inca trail. Peru fascinates me. There is a mixture of superstition, mystical culture and bizarre historical events together with outrageous scenery. However it probably isn't the ideal place to go with a 10 week-old baby girl and a three-and-a-half year-old daughter. It will have to stay on the to-do list.

If I wasn't doing this job...

I would be a writer working for two magazines: Gourmet Traveller and Luxury Travel. My dream of travelling around the world and eating at great restaurants is, unfortunately, squeezed into a short four weeks each year.

The person I most admire...

is my father. He is one of the very few people that live in a world where thinking, doing the right thing, being kind and helping people are successful character traits. My father is a businessman, an academic and a creative philosopher.

I really hate... having to deal with people that have too many pet peeves. I try to live an exciting life without them.
