LogicaCMG has signed a deal with staffing services company, Skilled Group, to implement an ERP system. The services integrator will pick up just over $5 million to design, build and test a platform based on Agresso Business World, which will automate billing and payroll processes across the business.
The rollout is the first major implementation of the ERP system by LogicaCMG. Managing director of industry, distribution and transport, Craig Lennard, said Agresso would underpin a completely new back-office infrastructure, consolidating various existing systems.
"The application we offered was a very strong factor behind Skilled's decision to hire us," he said. "It has a very complex environment where staff can go out and work with different organisations and different environments and it was Agresso's flexibility to operate out of the box that made it front of mind for Skilled."
Skilled CIO, Trevor Punchard, said the business was also in an expansion phase, having acquired seven companies in the past eight months. The solution would be able to create back-end consistency across business units.
Lennard didn't rule out the project being the first of more with Skilled.
"With all out customers, it's desirable that we don't treat them as a single solution transaction - it's a partnership," he said. "But first of all we'll be focused on making sure this first implementation goes smoothly."
LogicaCMG will also provide ongoing support for the Agresso system.
