Automation software provider, Kaseya, has launched a new end point management solution in a bid to give partners a broader range of managed security services.
Kaseya End Point Security (KES) stems from an OEM agreement with security vendor, AVG. Integrated within the Kaseya IT framework, it includes AVG's anti-malware protection, antivirus, anti-spyware and email protection. The solution also provides centralised management, automated deployment and file systems protection.
"The security side really comes out of the fact that managed service providers and system integrators don't have a lot of options when it comes to providing good secure end point security," Kaseya country manager, Tim Dickinson, said. "Being able to ensure security at the end point is becoming critical. One of the things we found from [partner] feedback was that they were managing numerous products and it was taking a lot of time. They didn't have a lot of information about what was actually taking place from a security point of view."
Dickinson said partners wouldn't need to be onsite when installing the KES solution. They would also be able to manage multiple customers and disparate networks via the one interface.
"We find a lot of system integrators don't go into end point security because it is too difficult," Dickinson said. "They are leaving a lot of revenue opportunity on the table. We think we have a great opportunity with KES to help them gain additional revenue with an easy to manage and deployed platform.
"Managed services for the SME are about being able to deliver services at lower cost base and driving efficiency within organisations."
Dickinson said it would aim to get about 25 system integrators on-board per month. Its sweet spot is the 500-1000 seat market. Kaseya currently has 80 partners on its books.
Partners can download a 30-day trial version of KES from its website.
