Melbourne-based software distributor, Maxus Australia, has scored an exclusive deal with email archiving vendor, Intradyn.
Maxus managing director, Norma Tovey, said the US-based vendor was searching for a local representative to take on its ComplianceVault products. The devices collect all emails going in and out of an organisation's systems and stores them onto disk. Some of its features include advanced search capabilities, the ability to export email search results and audit procedures.
"After looking at the product and doing some market research we decided to take it on because it looked like there was definite need for it here," Tovey said.
Maxus is distributing the range of ComplianceVault appliances, which are available in various sizes from 120GB to 1TB. Pricing starts at $11,750.
Tovey said it would sit nicely alongside its portfolio of products from database software vendor, Inmagic.
"We have a lot of users who collect and manage information. We see this as an extension of management information within an organisation," she said.
ComplianceVault would be targeted toward SMEs and government departments. Tovey said it would suit computer consultant-type resellers that can see what a client requires and offers suitable suggestions.
