Multimedia Technology (MMT), Nvidia and XFX put on their party hats last month to celebrate the rise of the XFX and Nvidia graphics card brands to a dominant position in the local market.
The pair put on a three-course meal for about 100 resellers and vendor representatives at the salubrious and glamorous Backlot in Melbourne's Rydges Hotel. While the focus of the evening was festive, the vendors took the opportunity to launch the new XFX 8 series graphics cards range, including the 8600GTS, 8600GT and 8500. Nvidia also unveiled its first motherboard product, the 680i, which is designed specifically for gamers.
Sales excellence awards were also presented to MMT's top performing graphic cards resellers. The winners were: PLE Computers (WA), Umart Online (Queensland), Computer and Parts Land (Victoria), Scorpion Technology (Victoria), and A&R Computers (SA).
