Hitachi Data Systems Appoints Channel Director for Australia and New Zealand

<p>Hitachi Data Systems, provider of Application Optimised Storage™ solutions and a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT), today announced the appointment of Kerstin Baxter as Channel Director for Australia and New Zealand. As part of the appointment, Kerstin will further develop Hitachi Data Systems’ channel business in the region and oversee all of the company’s existing channels and strategic partnerships.</p>
<p>Kerstin will be based in Sydney and responsible for developing and expanding Hitachi Data Systems' channel program to bring enterprise-class solutions to large and small organisations throughout Australia and New Zealand. Kerstin will work closely with Hitachi Data Systems’ Managing Director, Mark Kay, to align Australia and New Zealand’s channel strategy with the rest of the region and best position the business for further growth and success.</p>
<p>Kerstin brings a proven track record to her new role, having spent over nine years at Microsoft Australia in various leadership and sales-focused roles, including Partner Group Director, National Channels Manager and Enterprise Group State Manager in Victoria and Tasmania. Most recently as Director of Microsoft Australia’s Partner Group, Kerstin was responsible for managing Microsoft’s local partner business of over 14,000 organisations, including partner recruitment, development and account management. Prior to her roles at Microsoft, Kerstin held regional and national partner-related roles at both Compaq and Digital in Canada.</p>
