The Department of Defence has inked a two-year, $10 million contract with UXC and its subsidiary, Red Rock Consulting, for support and maintenance of its Oracle-based personnel management system.
Under the terms of the deal, the two integration teams will provide 24 months of onsite support to the department's HR environment, known as PMKeyS. This includes fail and fix support, incident and problem management and monthly management reporting.
UXC business solutions group CEO, Cris Nicolli, said it wasn't the first time the services company had collaborated with the Department of Defence and that had probably helped it in the win.
"It's always good to understand the language of defence and the business model of defence like we do," he said. "This is also the kind of support and enhancement program we do with clients so well, like the ANZ bank."
The engagement will begin with a seven-week project which will transfer existing PMKeyS service responsibilities from Department staff to UXC and Red Rock. They will also provide resources capable of additional tasks such as development and the testing and management of the Department system.
Red Rock co-CEO, Jonathan Rubinsztein, said the project provided a strong foundation to grow its Canberra-based business and its credentials as an Oracle partner with Federal Government agencies.
