HP has launched a new set of mobile software solutions aiming to help users with personalised video services to interact with the community, family and friends.
The OpenCall Mobile Video Solutions include three standard-based offerings, which can be immersed in high-speed 3G networks. It will allow users to send and receive video messages similarly to voice, as well as create animated call response messages and video services such as video blogging. It also provides users with the ability to create personalised video mailboxes and visually browse voice or video messages.
With HP OpenCall MMS Call Completion, messages will be automatically delivered to the user's phone. It also enables communications over both mobile and broadband networks.
The portfolio is constructed on media server software - the HP OpenCall Media Platform along with VoxSurf's application software, VxOne. It runs on HP ProLiant servers and the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system. HP said it would be supporting the solutions globally by providing comprehensive services.
Many mobile operators have already deployed HP OpenCall Mobile Video Solutions to allow them to provide video services. HP said it planned to help them generate new revenue stream, reduce customer acquisition costs and increase customer loyalty.
