Looking to complement its Cisco offering, LAN Systems has inked a distribution deal with US-based Internet security vendor, BorderWare Technologies.
The networking and security distributor will be supplying the whole range, including the latest BorderWare Security platform and SIPAssure gateway. The latter enables a secure deployment of SIP-based communication applications, including video conferencing, collaboration and presence, and VoIP.
"We've been talking with BorderWare for an extensive period of time, in particular with regard to their SIPassure product and BorderWare security network," LAN Systems comstor business manager, Tony Heywood, said. "We were looking for a product that could provide security in an SIP environment and BorderWare is the pre-eminent provider of that."
The range is aimed at the mid-tier and enterprise markets. Heywood said Cisco unified communication resellers and those with a strong security practice would best suit the range.
"We are trying to look for ways to build complete solutions for our partners so they can take much more of a solutions approach with building custom networks for customers, rather than a product approach," he said.
Resellers will have access to various sales incentives, including discounted pricing on a not-for-resale evaluation kit.
