Fuji Xerox cuts price of printing consumables
Fuji Xerox Printers has announced a price drop of up to 15 per cent on the majority of its colour printer consumables in both Australia and New Zealand effective April 24. The decision to cut prices was in line with striving to make in-house printing more affordable for the end-user, according to the general manager of Fuji Xerox Printers, Thomas Qureshi. Six months ago the company repositioned its printer pricing model and the consumables pricing change was a natural follow-on effect of this strategy, Qureshi said.
HP adds new AiO Printer suite
HP has released its new range of All in One (AiO) printers targeted at SMB and SOHO users. The vendor said it hopes to corner the market by combining the functions of scanning, printing, copying and faxing in one unit. The line up includes three HP LaserJet AiOs and two HP Officejet models. Leading the fleet is the Officejet 9100 which can scan, print, copy, fax, photo print and digitally send documents and images to file folders or email, and, according to HP, is designed for use by up to 15 users in a networked environment. “For many SMBs, improved efficiency is key; and this new range of AiO printers is designed to meet those needs,” HP Australia’s, Guyon Collins, said.
