Oracle services provider, Red Rock Consulting, has signed a distribution deal with US-based business intelligence software provider, Noetix.
Red Rock co-CEO, Jonathan Rubinsztein, said it had worked with the vendor on number of different organisations. The partnership would give it the ability to help customers use Oracle applications more effectively and provide more insight around them.
"They approached us to distribute their product in A/NZ because we had implemented it and were very keen to pick that up," he said. "It's quite a strategic move because a lot of organisations that have implemented Oracle applications have found they haven't yet achieved the value they want out of it."
Red Rock will target Noetix at organisations with Oracle applications, especially ones that have issues around reporting and extracting information.
"I think there is a huge demand for the product in the install base because we are finding that when organisations upgrade the application, they also have to upgrade all of those reports," Rubinsztein said. "This is quite a cost-effective way of managing reports on the Oracle application."
He said Red Rock had picked up a number of add-on products to help enable business transformation using the Oracle application.
"Noetix is one in particular that really helps access a lot of the information sitting in the application: it's got a metal layer that makes it easier to extract data and report on the application," Rubinsztein said. "We have also teamed up with an organisation called ReadSoft to do invoice scanning and it is totally integrated into the Oracle application."
