Tata Consultancy Services A/NZ boss, Rick Marmur, has resigned to move into the environmental services sector. He has been replaced at the local branch of India's largest outsourcer by veteran, R Ravishankar, who previously held the role of Tata Singapore country manager, and was based in the company's APAC headquarters.
He has been with the Tata for 14 years. In a company statement, Ravishankar said he planned to focus on restructuring the company's local client management team. This would both improve service and broaden Tata's offering, particularly in the areas of government and the private sector.
The outsourcer has already made inroads into Australia in recent years with the acquisition of financial software company, FNS, and local consulting firm, TCSM. It also inked a $108 million deal last year with Qantas Airways to provide high-end IT services.
