Australian IT provider to the telecommunications industry, Clarity, today officially opened its new headquarters to support customers in the Asia Pacific region.
Based in Singapore, the HQ will provide a range of business services, including marketing, sales, pre-sales and customer support.
Clarity executive chairman, Dr Ian Campbell, said demand for its operational support system (OSS) has grown steadily in Asia in the past two years.
As a result, he said the company is proactively expanding operations in Asia anticipating further demand.
Campbell said telco operators are also planning to automate business processes and gain greater visibility of their networks.
In the past 12 months, he said four operators in the region have installed the OSS including: PT Telkomunikasi (Telkom) Indonesia; Philippines Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT); Telekom Malaysia and; PT Hutchison CP Telecommunications in Indonesia
"This makes us the market leader; it supports voice, data, IP, application and content services over legacy and next generation networks," he said.
"The pre-integrated product and database streamlines the 17 eTOM elements of OSS into a single suite."
Campbell said the OSS is network and services neutral, driven by templates that are configurable to allow operators to cut time to market for any new service by about two-thirds.
Established in 1993, the company has over 90 million subscribers worldwide.
