HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) iSCSI

This connectivity kit extends the Fibre Channel (FC) SAN investment with integrated multi-protocol support, allowing customers to incorporate iSCSI servers without requiring additional storage arrays or management costs. It offers simultaneous iSCSI and FC support, providing modular multi-protocol SAN designs with increased scalability, stability and ROI on storage infrastructure. FC SANs based on EVA technology are able to leverage IP networks and extend SAN advantages into smaller departments and remote locations, where budget constraints would not allow FC SAN implementations. This enables storage consolidation by creating larger SANs extending over longer distances providing access to storage that can be scaled or re-allocated when needed. It also allows an EVA to be a dedicated iSCSI array. This allows customers to migrate from Direct Attach Storage (DAS) to an IP SAN by leveraging the existing IP infrastructure without requiring any investment in FC connectivity.
Distributed by Avnet Partner Solutions, Dicker Data, Ingram Micro and Lynx Technologies.
