Voice and data services provider, Nexon, has picked up ATD Technologies' PABX and cabling division for an undisclosed sum.
Managing director, Charles Assaf, said the acquisition was a good fit and would help expand its voice division.
"ATD specialises in the provisioning, installation and maintenance of Alcatel systems," he said. "It broadens our offering to our customer base so we can now provide everything from cabling and voice services to data networks and professional services.
"ATD was looking for an organisation that was the right fit and they wanted to make sure that it was a company which would best suit both its customers and employees needs."
All 20 staff will be kept on-board, with the company coming under the Nexon banner.
"ATD's employees have a lot of expertise around voice services and handling Alcatel equipment. It expands our whole voice services team dramatically and makes us one of the strongest Alcatel players in the Australian market," Assaf said.
ATD mainly played in the corporate, government and hospitality sector and would add an extra 200 customers to Nexon's books. He will also retain about 20 of its close resellers to add to its 30-strong partner base.
Alongside Alcatel, Nexon also works with IBM. The company is also currently finalising a Cisco certification.
Assaf said he wanted to recruit an extra four engineers.
