Peripherals distributor, Impact Systems, has become the first local supplier for German-based storage vendor, Freecom.
Managing director, Peter Agamalis, said he had experienced demand to increase its supply of data storage products.
"The products are very competitively priced and we're looking at entering the market place fairly aggressively," he said. "Freecom has a broad range of product, such as USB storage devices and products for certain markets like rugged 2.5-inch devices, which will suit mass merchant and channel partners."
Impact will be distributing the whole range from Freecom, which includes dual-disk hard drives and a network media player.
Agamalis said that even though there are some conflicting products in its lineup, it comes down to a customer's brand preference.
He anticipated generating several million dollars per year in revenue.
Agamalis is looking for VARs and corporate resellers in most states to help push the product out to the local market. For a limited time, Impact is offering partners a $50 petrol voucher for every $2000 they spend online on any product.
