Police are still searching for more witnesses to two unrelated attempted robberies on JB Hi-Fi stores in Victoria.
In the most recent incident, which occurred April 19 at 6pm, four men attempted to steal speakers from the JB Hi-Fi store in Chadstone. According to Victorian Police, the men were approached by staff and asked to leave the premises. Once outside, they became violent, punching and kicking four security guards. One guard was left with serious facial injuries.
Two of the assailants were apprehended near the scene by police patrolling the area. They have been interviewed and are pending summons. Police are still searching for the two other men involved.
In a separate incident on Monday April 16, a staff member at the JB Hi-Fi store in Dandenong confronted a man who was allegedly tampering with security tags about 1pm. The offender slashed the staff member across the face with a razor before leaving the premises. The Dandenong employee was taken to hospital where he received seven stitches.
