Dimension Data has recruited two new faces to help drive growth in its application integration practice.
Michelle Homes and Michael Harmelink have been appointed application integration practice managers in Queensland and NSW.
General manager of application integration, Peter Menadue, said it had become a core part of the integrator's overall business.
"We do a lot of work around Microsoft and, in particular, around SharePoint. The demand has been incredible in the past six months," he said. "We just had to be in a position to grow so we can not only take advantage of that, but do it in a sustainable way. We needed to scale our business to support the growth."
Menadue said both Homes and Harmelink would focus on structuring the local teams.
"They will look at getting on-board the right people at different levels of the business. That will include solutions architects, developers and business analysts," he said. "We know a lot of what we are doing is very relevant. Getting the bandwidth and the message across to our customers and partners is something they will be doing upfront as well."
Homes was previously business development manager at Futrix Software. Harmelink's resume includes business development roles with IBM and Alcatel in Europe, as well as stints with Avenade and Snapdragon.
