Compuware Corporation launched its quality assurance solution Test Factory last week to improve the efficiency of software testing.
The Test Factory was developed over five years to provide outsourced testing service providers with a solution to help resolve complex business challenges such as those driven by rapid growth and increased competitive pressures.
Compuware A/NZ regional director, Michael Green, said the solution can boost the effectiveness of sales, marketing and recruiting efforts and influence retention rates of testing team staff.
"Testing service providers that adopt the Test Factory approach will realise benefits beyond their direct service delivery group," Green said.
"Our own large-scale product testing requirements combined with our experience supporting global partners allowed us to define the business requirements for a solution that broadly addresses the needs of providers.
"The platform supports all aspects of managing and delivering quality assurance services such as complete demand and resource management automation.
"This allows testing organisations to efficiently manage their projects and people, while improving project performance visibility and software quality."
Compuware testing integration centre senior vice president, Kevin Cowsill, said the product has allowed Compuware to customise and automate QA processes and supplies the management metrics required to continuously improve the unit, integration, and system testing process specific to each product line.
"These capabilities enabled us to determine solid project completion dates while experiencing improvements in communication and teamwork," he said.
