Plantronics will shortly be adding two additions to its Bluetooth range. The M2500 and M3500 headsets work with any Bluetooth device that supports the headset or hands-free profile, including mobile phones, computers, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and smartphones. The M3500 targets mobile professionals through Plantronics’ proprietary Audio IQ technology with a built-in digital signal processor (DSP) which analyses the incoming voice signal and raises the softer portions of the signal without causing distortion for increased clarity and also reduces background noise for outgoing calls, increasing the call quality for the person on the other end. The M2500 targets mobile phone users with up to five hours of talk time, up to 120 hours of standby time, a call control button which allows users to answer and end calls with one touch, call the last number dialed, reject an incoming call and access the voice dialing function of compatible mobile phones. RRP: M2500 — $129 (available July); M3500 — $279 (available May).
