Digital media distributor, Adimex, has scored an exclusive deal with US-based multimedia vendor, AJA Video Systems.
Adimex channel manager, Eamon Drew, said it had previously carried AJA's desktop products, which included KONA and XENA capture cards.
The company now has access to the entire range and plans to take on its miniature standalone and rack mount video and audio converters.
"Adimex is traditionally a distributor of 3D editing, multimedia, animation products and content creation," he said. "These mini converter products complement our range by being able to convert many of our video and audio formats from HD to S and vice versa."
Drew said he might consider bundling the range with other products in its line-up. He anticipated AJA will add an extra 10-20 per cent on top of its revenue.
Target markets for the range include home entertainment and AV and broadcast facility integrators, Drew said.
"We aim to develop AJA's local channel through marketing initiatives, talking with resellers, special promotions and so forth," he said. "It will benefit people that are selling video cameras and integrators that install home theatre products."
In the coming months, Drew hoped to initiate a program for resellers and integrators.
