Touchbase is the first local integrator to hold both Advanced Unified Communication Certification (AUC) and Unified Contact Centre Enterprise Certification (UCCE) from Cisco. Business leader, Andrew Fisher, said the process had taken about two years to work through. In October, Touchbase made a seven-figure investment to skill up in Cisco unified communication products.
"It is opening a lot of doors for us in the enterprise market," he said. "There were sales, quality and technical components to both advanced certifications." Fisher said Cisco assessed every aspect of its sales, project management and design processes to ensure solutions would be delivered to a high standard. Touchbase would now pursue further certifications with the networking giant but Fisher was not willing to disclose further details.
He said most of his 30-40 staff now had some sort of formal Cisco certifications. The company would look to recruit about 60 staff in the next three years with Cisco engineering, sales or voice expertise.
