Enterprise software vendor, Epicor, has made two new Sydney-based appointments to help the company’s regional growth.
Jo-Anne Simon is the company's new A/NZ marketing manager and Iain McFall, senior pre-sales consultant for A/NZ with responsibility for overall sales support.
Epicor’s Asia-Pacific director, Jason du Prez, said the company used a variety of direct sales, consultants, resellers and distributors across the Asia-Pacific.
In Australia, it employs a direct salesforce of eight (out of 30 staff) and 12 value-added resellers.
Du Prez said Simon and McFall would work with both the channel and Epicor’s sales team.
No changes were planned to Epicor’s channel, but the company was always looking for extra partners to add value or give access to new markets.
“Our strategy is a small number of partners," he said. "We can give them support that adds value to the sales cycle and customer base."
The company has two product lines - an enterprise product line, which is an end-to-end ERP solution that has a variety of functions and modules for differing vertical sectors. This is sold direct.
Epicor also has a manufacturing product suite, with a Vista model aimed at entry-level manufacturers and Vantage aimed at the mid-market. Vista is distributed by Melbourne-based Intrinsic and Vantage is distributed by Cogita, which has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland and Brisbane.
Du Prez said the company expected to announce some major sales in the near future.
