Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0

Formerly Microsoft Axapta, the new version of Microsoft Dynamics AX is an adaptable, global business-management solution. The software delivers a complete ERP package to automate and streamline processes across a company's financials, customer relationships, business services, human resources and the supply chain. It is a composite application, using Web services to span the boundaries between structured and unstructured data from different sources and tying together formal processes with ad hoc workflows. Users can create a seamless path from initial trading partner compliance to an RFID-enabled supply chain as well as facilitating trading controls and automate subcontracting.

ACT! by Sage 2007

This software caters to individual users through to larger teams that need to share customer data and manage sales opportunities in a secure networked environment. It gives users immediate access to new productivity features, whether accessing their customer information via desktop, laptop, Web browser or Palm OS device. One of the major new features is its direct integration with Microsoft Outlook. It is built on the latest version of Microsoft's SQL Server and the .NET framework. It features split-panel note preview which gives users the option of viewing the entire contents of a contact, group or company note while searching for another contact. The look up indicator preview panel gives users visibility over the type of look up they are conducting, whether all contacts, state, ID status or one of the many additional options.

SAP Business One

This software provides SMEs with a single system that automates processes and offers an accurate, up-to-the-minute picture of the business. It solution automates and streamlines all critical business processes, including financial management, banking, purchasing, manufacturing, warehouse management, and customer relationship management. It's also simple to use and offers a consistent, intuitive environment. The Windows environment combined with simplified administration features streamline ongoing operations and maintenance. Features include a five-step MRP Wizard that automates material requirements planning, and a Drag&Relate tool that lets users link different pieces of information. The solution can be customised to meet changing requirements. It is ideal for customers with between 10 and several hundred employees.

QAD has enhanced its Global Enterprise Edition suite, QAD GXE, to further assist multinational manufacturers in simplifying aspects of their business - from demand forecasting to demand fulfilment. The new modules and services extend the capabilities of its enterprise software suite to sales and marketing, equipment utilisation, transportation logistics, and improvements in demand management. Additionally, QAD consulting services contribute to more efficient, cost-effective use of software, while more customizable learning and an updated .NET-based user interface enhance employees' work with manufacturing data. Highlighted features and functions in the new modules include sales force automation; marketing automation; transportation management system; enterprise asset management; and demand management.

Other functionality includes integrated financials, manufacturing, supply chain management, warehouse management, customer relationship management, point-of-sale and facilities maintenance management. Platforms supported include Windows Server 2003, Red Hat Linux and IBM AIX.
