LogicaCMG has snared Commander's former security chief, Ajoy Ghosh, as its new security practice manager. His responsibilities include IT governance and risk management and litigation support.
"Logica has a very good offering in terms of some of the key sectors like energy and utilities and banking and finance," he said. "It also has very good telco offerings. All of these give us a great platform to embed security solutions."
Prior to joining Commander, Ghosh had senior roles in consulting, banking and law enforcement. He was also the author of Standards Australia handbook, 171 Guidelines for the Management of IT Evidence.
With LogicaCMG offering solutions in the region of e-identity, biometrics, document management and payment solutions, Ghosh said he was looking forward to lending his experience direct to clients and working with its overseas offices.
"Logica has a global reach and I'm really looking forward to working with a world-class pool of experts who I can draw on and which will complement the people we have here," he said. "Conversely, there are some areas where we will be the experts locally, such as in relation to SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) systems."
Ghosh is also accredited by the Defence Signals Directorate as an iRAP information security assessor and is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
