Sydney-based systems integrator, Tripoint, has leveraged its local experience with application and technology vendors to step into the lucrative Singapore market.
Tripoint CEO, Ian Woollett, said its Oracle/PeopleSoft business had doubled in the past six months. This had immediately led it into Asia to continue growing the business.
Woollett claimed the PeopleSoft business was exploding all over Asia, which was notable following market doubts about the future of the product following its aggressive takeover by Oracle.
"Our perception is that for many years, PeopleSoft was successful in Asia and had a large customer base," he said.
"It's still a good, stable product and now that it's clear Oracle's not going to kill it off, the business is exploding all over again."
Tripoint employs about 90 personnel in Australia, largely spread along the East coast.
Woollett would not disclose how many staff would be in the Singapore office at its launch on March 9 but said the footprint would be a growing one.
Besides Oracle, Tripoint also works with other application vendors including SAP and Microsoft.
