Global IT Service Management (ITSM) software specialist Axios Systems has opened a second Australian office in Melbourne and plans to develop it as the hub for business in the Asia-Pacific region.

Axios recently became the first organisation in the world to achieve certification for BS15000, the global standard specifically aimed at ITSM.

Last year the company announced it was opening offices in Sydney and San Francisco to take advantage of growing opportunities for its award-winning assyst solution in the region and on the West coast of the United States.

Axios also has offices in the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Canada, and Herndon near Washington DC in the US. Its assyst tool allows customers to manage and control effectively their IT systems, log and track incidents, uncover the causes of underlying problems, and track assets.

Sarah Leaney, previously with Axios Systems at its head office in Edinburgh, has moved to the new office in Melbourne as Business Development Manager.

Ailsa Symeonides, Sales and Marketing Director, commented: “The Asia-Pacific region will be of growing importance for us in coming years. Melbourne will be the focal point of strenuous efforts to win much more business throughout the region and build on the successes we have achieved in other areas of the world. Together with our Sydney office it will also allow us to work with partners and others to capture a good slice of the Australian market.”
